Kilian O’Hare is pursuing a future in medical research shaped by personal experience, resilience, and a deep desire to improve lives. A graduating high school senior, Kilian plans to study biochemistry at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, with the goal of contributing to research that advances treatment for complex medical conditions.
Growing up, Kilian witnessed the profound impact of chronic illness and neurological conditions within his own family. These experiences sparked a commitment to understanding the science behind disease and developing solutions that could ease suffering for others facing similar challenges. Academically driven and service-oriented, Kilian has built an impressive foundation through advanced science coursework, leadership roles, and more than a thousand hours of community service as an Eagle Scout.
The BridgeWell Foundation Scholarship supports Kilian as he transitions from high school to higher education—providing essential assistance during a critical stage of his academic journey.
